The Epionce Dot System: When to Mix & Match

The Epionce dot system was designed to help you choose the right products for your skin type. Sometimes it may be beneficial to mix up the dot system depending on your skin needs and concerns. Below are some guidelines for when to mix your Epionce products.

Your cleansing preference
Epionce cleansers are formulated for specific concerns that go along with each skin type, but your skin might require a tailored regime.

You may fit into the normal skin category where a Gentle Foaming Cleanser works best, but if you prefer a hydrating cleanser with a lotion consistency try the one-dot Milky Lotion Cleanser. This will give you an effective cleanse and leave skin feeling hydrated. This is also great for removing eye makeup- regardless of skin type.

If you want a cleanser you can really feel working, but your skin typically isn’t oily, still try Lytic Gel Cleanser. It is gentle for most skin types. This fan favourite will leave your skin feeling refreshed and super clean without stripping it of necessary oils.

For dry skin with some breakout, use the lathering Gentle Foaming Cleanser to help clean pores of impurities that can aggravate blemishes.

Changes in seasons
Season changes can signal that it’s time to change your Renewal Facial product. Cold, dry weather in the winter can leave skin very dry and lacking moisture. Oily skin may benefit by switching to a Renewal Facial Lotion morning and evening for additional hydration. Intensive Nourishing Cream – the only Renewal without a dot — is the most emollient and ideal for severely dry and photo-aged skin. This is a great night cream for dry and normal skin.

The same adjustments should be made in summer. For hotter temperatures, a lighter formula found in two-dot Renewal Facial Lotion or three-dot Lite Facial Lotion feels less heavy for all skin types. For oily skin, apply the hydrating Intense Defense Serum in the morning before your sunscreen, and use your Renewal as a night moisturiser.

Tailor a Lytic to your skin concerns
It may take some experimenting, but finding the Lytic that works best for you will help improve the visible appearance and texture of your skin. Dry skin with breakouts will see improvement with a one-dot Lite Lytic Tx. Even if you’re prone to oil in the T-Zone, Lytic Tx is often enough salicylic acid to help reduce the appearance of blemishes without drying out skin.

We always recommend consulting with a skin care professional to help tailor your skin care regimen for best results!
